Arrival: Arrive in Leh, transfer to your hotel, and rest to acclimatize to the altitude. Afternoon: Light sightseeing if you feel up to it. Shanti Stupa: A tranquil site with panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains. Leh Palace: Explore this historic palace for a glimpse into Ladakh’s royal past. Evening: Rest and enjoy dinner in Leh. Overnight: Stay in Leh.
Morning: Thiksey Monastery: A beautiful, multi-level monastery offering serene views and home to an impressive Maitreya Buddha statue. Shey Palace and Monastery: Visit this former royal residence with stunning architecture and a tranquil setting. Afternoon: Hemis Monastery: Explore one of Ladakh’s largest and most famous monasteries, known for its vibrant festivals and historical significance. Leh Market: Spend some time in the Leh Bazaar for shopping and sampling local cuisine. Evening: Relax at the hotel and prepare for the journey to Nubra. Overnight: Stay in Leh.
Morning: Drive to Nubra Valley: Cross Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable passes, with scenic photo stops. Afternoon in Nubra Valley: Diskit Monastery: Visit the monastery, famous for its large Maitreya Buddha statue and stunning views of the valley. Hunder Sand Dunes: Enjoy a camel ride on the unique double-humped Bactrian camels and experience the picturesque dunes. Evening: Check into your accommodation in Nubra Valley. Overnight: Stay in Nubra Valley (Hunder or Diskit).
Early Morning: Depart from Nubra Valley and drive towards Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok route. Afternoon at Pangong Lake: Pangong Tso: Arrive at this high-altitude lake, famous for its crystal-clear, color-changing waters set against rugged mountains. Photography & Relaxation: Take photos and relax by the lake, enjoying the changing hues. Evening: Check in to a lakeside camp or guesthouse. Overnight: Stay at Pangong Lake.
Morning: Start your journey to the remote village of Hanle. This drive takes you through some of Ladakh’s most pristine landscapes. Afternoon: Arrive in Hanle. Hanle Monastery: Visit this ancient monastery, one of Ladakh’s hidden treasures, offering sweeping views of the surrounding valley. Hanle Observatory: If available, explore the Indian Astronomical Observatory, one of the world’s highest observatories. Evening: Settle in at your guesthouse or homestay. Overnight: Stay in Hanle.
Full Day in Hanle: Spend the day exploring Hanle at a relaxed pace. Nature Walks and Photography: Enjoy the serenity and vast open landscapes, ideal for photography and nature walks. Interaction with Locals: Hanle is known for its sparse population and untouched culture, providing a unique opportunity to experience Ladakhi village life. Stargazing: Hanle’s remote location and clear skies make it perfect for stargazing (weather permitting). Overnight: Stay in Hanle
Morning: Depart from Hanle and begin your return journey to Leh. Tso Kar Lake: Stop by Tso Kar, known as the “White Lake” due to its salt deposits, and take in its unique, high-altitude ecosystem. Afternoon: Continue the scenic drive back to Leh. Evening: Arrive in Leh and enjoy a relaxing evening with some last-minute shopping or leisure time. Overnight: Stay in Leh.
Morning: Transfer to Leh airport for your departure. End of Tour: Depart with cherished memories of Ladakh’s stunning landscapes and unique culture.
