Embark on a breathtaking journey to Spiti Valley, the “Middle Land” between India and Tibet, with our meticulously designed road trip. Experience the stunning contrast of lush valleys and rugged landscapes as you travel through two captivating routes to and from Spiti Valley.


Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Shimla to Sangla

Begin your adventure from the bustling capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, as we drive towards the serene Sangla Valley. Nestled along the banks of the Baspa River, this lush paradise welcomes you with tranquil views and refreshing mountain air. Spend the night enjoying the peaceful melodies of the river.


Day 2: Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa

Today, we head towards Chitkul, the last inhabited village before the Indo-Tibet border. Marvel at the picturesque beauty of this quaint village and immerse yourself in the pristine views along the Baspa River.

Post exploration, we drive to Kalpa, famous for its stunning sunsets over the Kinner Kailash range. Prepare for a night of relaxation with incredible mountain vistas.


Day 3: Kalpa – Nako – Tabo

As we progress into the mesmerizing desert landscape of Spiti Valley, we take a brief halt at Nako Village. Witness the harmonious blend of Hinduism and Buddhism reflected in the village’s unique architecture and murals.

After a stroll around the peaceful Nako Lake, we continue towards the historic monastery village of Tabo, home to one of Spiti’s oldest monasteries, over 1000 years old. Overnight stay at Tabo.


Day 4: Tabo – Pin Valley (Mudh) – Kaza

Explore the pristine beauty of Pin Valley National Park, renowned for its rare wildlife, including Snow Leopards and Siberian Ibex. Visit the charming village of Mudh, the last motorable settlement in the valley.

On our way back, we stop at Dhankar Monastery before heading to Kaza for the night. Enjoy a cozy evening in the local cafes of Kaza.


Day 5: Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komik – Ki Monastery

Dive into the high-altitude wonders of Spiti Valley as we visit:

  • Komik – Asia’s highest village.

  • Hikkim – Home to the world’s highest post office.

  • Langza – A treasure trove of ancient marine fossils.

Later, explore the Ki Monastery, a majestic structure with over 1000 years of history. We return to Kaza for an overnight stay.


Day 6: Kaza – Kibber – Chandratal Lake

Drive to the scenic village of Kibber and visit the famous Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest bridge. Continue the journey to the breathtaking Chandratal Lake.

Spend the night camping near the lake, gazing at the Milky Way and the millions of stars that dot the pristine night sky. Please note that, due to limited camping options, an overnight stay at Losar may be arranged if necessary.


Day 7: Chandratal Lake – Manali

Bid farewell to Spiti as we drive back to Manali, with a brief stop at Batal for tea and Chatru for lunch. After passing through the Atal Tunnel, we reach Manali by 6 PM.

From here, you can choose to extend your stay in Manali or proceed towards New Delhi / Chandigarh.

  • If you want to be a part of the fixed departure group but do not wish to share the car with other people and want the car dedicated exclusively to you / your group, please let us know and we'll let you know the revised price for the same.
  • Accommodation here will be on double (for couples) / triple sharing basis. If you are a solo traveller, the cost will stay the same but you will be sharing the room with another solo traveller of the same gender.

Declared a national park in 1987, Pin Valley boasts altitudes ranging from 11,000 to 20,000 feet and is home to at least 12 endangered snow leopards, along with the Siberian ibex, bharal, weasel, red fox, and marten. Kibber - Chicham Bridge - Kunzum La - Chandratal Lake - Overnight Camping Today, we journey to one of the most photogenic locations in Spiti Valley – Chandratal Lake. Along the way, we explore breathtaking spots and ancient villages. ???? Kibber Village (4205 m): Starting the day with a visit to Kibber, a quaint village once known as the highest permanently inhabited village in the region. Nestled among snow-capped peaks, Kibber is a base camp for treks and adventures into the high-altitude mountains. Nature lovers and photographers will love the pristine views and traditional charm of this village. ???? Chicham Bridge – Asia’s Highest Bridge: Next, we head to the spectacular Chicham Bridge, standing high above deep gorges. Today, we drive from Chandratal Lake towards Manali, concluding our epic Spiti Valley adventure. ☕ Stop at Batal: Begin the day with a warm cup of tea at a small yet charming tea shop run by a lovely old couple in Batal. A perfect way to soak in the local hospitality one last time. ???? Kaza – Manali Highway: Continue your drive on the stunning yet challenging Kaza – Manali Highway, passing through spectacular landscapes and rugged terrains. ????️ Lunch at Chatru: Take a refreshing lunch break at Chatru and cherish the final moments of this incredible journey. ????️ Drive Through Atal Tunnel: Experience the thrill of passing through the Atal Tunnel, the longest high-altitude tunnel in the world, as we approach Manali. ????
